Packing options include cardboard boxes, wooden crates, or cushioning materials. For items that are prone to damage or are of high value, using wooden crates is mandatory to provide extra protection.

The Importance of Heat-Treated Wooden Crates for Air Cargo

To ensure your goods are well-protected during air transport, it’s crucial to use heat-treated wooden crates. This requirement follows ISPM-15 standards, which safeguard against pests and diseases by treating wood at a specific temperature for a set duration. The treated wood will be marked to confirm compliance.

Not using heat-treated wood can cause significant issues, such as delays, rejections, or fines upon arrival. Therefore, using heat-treated wooden packaging is not just a good practice but a necessary one for smooth air cargo transport.

How We Estimate Air Cargo Costs

Estimates for air cargo are primarily measured in kilograms. When calculating air cargo rates, the higher value between the actual weight and the volumetric (dimensional) weight is used to determine the cost.

If the weight is light but the size is large, the volumetric weight is used for pricing, meaning that changes in packaging size can affect the estimate. This method follows the standard calculation practice for air cargo.

Step 01.
Request a Quote
Please request a quote by phone or WhatsApp. The information required is as follows:

  • Your name or company name

  • Details about the Items <Type, Size (Length,Width,Height), Weight, Quantity>

  • Destination (City or Country)

  • Please confirm the cargo pickup location and schedule.

  • Please confirm if packaging is required for the cargo.

  • Providing a photo of the items can assist us in giving you a more accurate estimate.

Step 02.
Quote & Schedule Check
We can send you a quote via email or WhatsApp. Once you review and approve the estimate, we proceed by checking the air cargo schedule. This involves confirming the departure times for shipments to your desired destination, whether it’s a different city in the U.S. or another country. Based on this schedule, we prepare the necessary documents, arrange for the pickup of your goods, and ensure they are delivered to the airport’s storage facility. We coordinate every step with you to develop a plan that meets your needs.
Step 03.
Document Preparation

To complete your export, you’ll need two key documents: an Invoice and a Packing List.

The Invoice includes details such as the product name, unit price, total price, trade terms, and sender and receiver information. The Packing List provides specifics on the dimensions, quantity, net weight, gross weight, and volume of the items.

While our regular clients are well-versed with these documents, first-time customers don’t need to worry. We’re here to handle everything or assist you throughout the process.

  • Commercial Invoice (C/I)

  • Packing List (P/L)

  • We complete customs clearance within the document submission deadline to meet the air transport schedule.

Step 04.
Packing
For air cargo, packaging must comply with aviation regulations to ensure safe delivery. Although customers may handle the packaging themselves, we offer professional packing services if desired. If you require expert packaging, please let us know, and we will take care of it for you.
Step 05.
Pickup & Delivery
We pick up the cargo and deliver it to the airport’s storage facility. At the facility, the exact weight and dimensions will be verified again. Additionally, a safety inspection of the cargo, primarily using X-ray technology, will be conducted.

  • This process is handled by us, so if you’ve entrusted it to us, you can relax and wait without worry.

Step 06.
Aircraft departure
Once these steps are completed, we will issue the Airway Bill (AWB). You will need this document to claim your cargo at the destination. The cargo will then be safely loaded according to the air transport schedule and shipped to your requested city in the U.S. or another country.
